1. A system for sales lead redirection on a mobile computing device with enhanced privacy protection, comprising:
a mobile computing device comprising a memory, a processor, and a wireless network interface;
a triggering application operating on the mobile computing device and configured to, upon receipt of an initial trigger comprising a marketing campaign identity via the wireless network interface, trigger the operation of a messaging application on the mobile computing device; and
the messaging application operating on the mobile computing device and configured to:
upon triggering by the triggering application:
generate a trigger message in response to the initial trigger, the trigger message comprising device metadata, the device metadata comprising an identity of the mobile computing device, a location of the mobile computing device, an identity of a triggering application on the mobile computing device, and the marketing campaign identity,
send the trigger message from the mobile computing device to an interaction control server via the wireless network interface, and
receive an augmented trigger from the interaction control server, wherein the augmented trigger comprises a marketing message generated based on the metadata;
upon receipt of the augmented trigger:
generate an augmented trigger message in response to the augmented trigger, the augmented trigger message comprising the marketing campaign identity and an authorization for a media gateway server to receive and use private information about the mobile computing device or about the user of the mobile computing device, and
send the augmented trigger message to a media gateway server via the wireless network interface, wherein the media gateway server is separate from the interaction control server;
receive, responsive to the authorization, a multimedia message from the media gateway server, the multimedia message comprising an active call-to-action component; and
upon receipt of the multimedia message, display the multimedia message with its active call-to-action component on the mobile computing device, wherein the active call-to-action component includes one or more buttons or links configured to trigger different corresponding communication channels associated with a marketing campaign associated with the marketing campaign identity.
