1. A system, comprising:
a server;
a property management system (PMS); and
a plurality of communication terminals in communication with the server via a local area network (LAN), each of the plurality of communication terminals having a graphical user interface (GUI);
the server configured to:
i. receive registration information from the PMS when a guest checks into a hotel, the registration information including an identification of the guest and a particular assigned room of a plurality of hotel rooms;
ii. identify a particular communication terminal of the plurality of communication terminals that is associated with the particular assigned room by utilizing information received from the property management system;
iii. determine the particular assigned room of the guest and the particular communication terminal; and
iv. manage configuration of the particular communication terminal to load an interface that presents a plurality of options comprising a hotel standard checkout time and one or more later checkout times than the hotel standard checkout time to the guest;
the PMS configured to:
i. receive the registration information from the guest when the guest checks into the hotel;
ii. provide the server with the particular communication terminal for the particular assigned room of the guest in real-time;
iii. provide the registration information of the guest to the server in real-time;
the plurality of communication terminals configured to:
i. associate with a particular assigned room of the plurality of hotel rooms of the hotel;
ii. present an interactive interface on a corresponding GUI of the particular communication terminal, the interactive interface querying the guest to select a checkout time from the plurality of options for a date of departure of the guest, the plurality of options comprising the hotel standard checkout time and the one or more later checkout times than the hotel standard checkout time;
iii. detect that the guest is still within the particular assigned room after passage of a particular checkout time, and in response, to notify the guest of the passage of the particular checkout time;
iv. receive selection of a given checkout time and to share the selection of the particular checkout time with the server;
wherein the server is configured to automatically provide the selection of the given checkout time for the guest for the particular assigned room with a hotel service scheduler;
wherein the hotel service scheduler is configured to update a scheduling database upon receipt of the given checkout time selected by the guest on the particular communication terminal for their particular assigned room; and
wherein on the date of the departure of the guest, the particular communication terminal is configured to present, within the interactive interface, a checking out option, wherein in response to receiving the selection of the checking out option, the particular communication terminal is configured to share the selection of the checking out option with the server.
