1. A method for identifying a memory snapshot, comprising:
determining, based on a probability density associated with operation history associated with a set of memory snapshots, a probability that a memory snapshot will be operated upon within a first time period, wherein the operation history comprises at least one of search, access, or backup;
in response to determining that the memory snapshot has less than a threshold probability of being operated upon within the first time period, marking the memory snapshot for deletion; and
deleting the memory snapshot.
