1. A computer-implemented regional network operating method comprising:
obtaining, by a regional network access point, data from a plurality of sensors that are configured to monitor operation of activities at an industrial site;
transmitting, by the regional network access point and to a back-end system;
the data received from the plurality of sensors, wherein the back-end system, is configured to process the data to provide visualization data
associated with the industrial site to a computing device associated with an operator that is associated with the industrial site;
receiving, from the back-end system, a control signal to remotely operate an asset at the industrial site, the control signal received from the computing device associated with the operator; and
communicating with the asset through a communication device coupled to the asset and transmitting, by the regional network access point, the control signal to the asset at the industrial site, the control signal causing a change in operation of the asset.
