1. A method of operating a radar system, the method comprising:
receiving, by a controller, radar configuration data from a host via a data communication interface, the radar configuration data comprising chirp parameters;
receiving, by the controller, a trigger command from the host via the data communication interface; and
upon receipt of the trigger command:
triggering, by the controller, a frequency generation circuit to perform a frequency ramp based on the chirp parameters,
receiving, by the controller, samples from the radar system, and
sending, by the controller, the received samples to the host via the data communication interface.
