1. A trigger unit for a firearm, comprising:
a trigger lever, rotatably mounted about a trigger axis, the trigger lever having a trigger bar that, when viewed in a normal direction, lies below the trigger axis; where the trigger lever is moved when the trigger bar is actuated by a rearward movement against a barrel direction;
a fire-control/safety selector having at least one “safe” position and at least one “fire” position;
wherein the fire-control/safety selector is a rotary selector that is rotatably mounted about an axis parallel to the normal direction, and comprises a first rotary lever and a second rotary lever;
a cylinder is formed on the first rotary lever, the cylinder having an end section, and a hollow cylinder having an axis is formed on the second rotary lever;
wherein the hollow cylinder of the second rotary lever has an inner diameter that substantially corresponds to a diameter of the end section of the cylinder of the first rotary lever, such that the end section of the first rotary lever can be inserted axially and displaceably into the hollow cylinder of the second rotary lever;
a locking lever arranged in the trigger unit so as to be rotatably mounted about a locking lever axis, where the locking lever axis when viewed in the barrel direction is arranged behind the trigger axis; the locking lever being biased in a circumferential direction by a locking lever spring; wherein
the end section of the cylinder formed on the first rotary lever has a smaller diameter than a diameter of the cylinder outside the end section, the end section defining at least one detent, and the end section having a rib in the form of an elevation extending radially outward from the end section;
the hollow cylinder formed on the second rotary lever defines a slot configured to receive the locking lever that extends in a circumferential direction, as well as a defining a continuous notch that extends in a direction of the hollow cylinder axis;
the continuous notch defined by the hollow cylinder of the second rotary lever is substantially complementary in shape to the rib on the end section of the first rotary lever; and
the locking lever is configured to releasably fix the fire-control/safety selector in a selectable position.
