1. A turbine assembly comprising:
a casing defining an inlet in fluid communication with a combustor and configured to receive a combustion product stream; and
a plurality of blades each extending radially outwardly from a root to a tip,
wherein the turbine assembly defines a ratio of blade velocity at the tip to a flow velocity of the combustion product stream, the ratio being between 1 and 5;
wherein the flow velocity of the combustion product stream is measured proximate the inlet of the turbine assembly and downstream of the combustor.
