1. A lock assembly having an unlocked state and a locked state, the lock assembly comprising:
a drive spindle;
a manual actuator coupled to the drive spindle;
a spring cage housing having a wall, the spring cage housing including a biasing member that interacts with the drive spindle to bias the drive spindle and the manual actuator to a home position;
a notch formed in a first portion of the wall of the spring cage housing;
an arcuate slot formed in a second portion of the wall of the spring cage housing;
a drive assembly coupled to both the spring cage housing and the manual actuator;
a lock control lug operably coupled with the drive assembly, the lock control lug being selectively positionable in:
the notch to define a non-clutching configuration of the lock assembly which prevents movement of the manual actuator relative to the spring cage housing via capture of the lock control lug within the notch, and
the arcuate slot to define a clutching configuration of the lock assembly which permits movement of the manual actuator relative to the spring cage housing via displacement of the lock control lug along the arcuate slot.
