1. A coating composition comprising:
a liquid carrier;
a binder; and
a pigment composition comprising:
titanium dioxide;
an alkali metal silicate;
a clay; and
one or more alkaline earth metal carbonates comprising magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate;
wherein the one or more alkaline earth metal carbonates is present in an amount ranging from about 60.0 wt. % to about 80.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the pigment composition; and
wherein the calcium carbonate and the magnesium carbonate are present in a weight ratio ranging from about 3:1 to about 6:1.
