1. A frame for a respiratory mask comprising:
a body including an exterior surface and an interior surface;
the exterior surface including:
an inlet collar comprising an inlet collar interior surface and an inlet collar exterior surface, the inlet collar interior surface defining an inlet; and
a recessed surface;
an elevated surface;
a border extending between the recessed surface and the elevated surface, the recessed surface and the border configured to be positioned adjacent a yoke when assembled, the border at least partially defined by the inlet collar exterior surface, wherein the elevated surface and the recessed surface extend laterally away from the inlet collar such that the border is wider than the inlet collar;
the interior surface including an outlet collar defining an outlet, wherein a gas pathway is formed between the inlet and the outlet, and wherein a perimeter of the gas pathway at the inlet is less than a perimeter of the gas pathway at the outlet.
