1. A spinal interbody device (IBD), comprising:
solid and porous structures in connection with each other; and
a plurality of pyramidal bone-engaging projections having a flat upper surface on the solid structure, the projections including partially solid and partially porous portions, the partially solid portions and partially porous portions formed monolithically with each other.
