1. An apparatus comprising:
a set of electrodes positioned on a housing to make contact with a set of limbs of a user, wherein the set of electrodes includes a left leg electrode to make contact with a left leg of the user; and
a processor operatively coupled to the set of electrodes, the processor configured to:
perform, using the set of electrodes, an electrocardiogram (ECG) to generate a set of limb leads including a first lead I;
determine a Wilson's Central Terminal (WCT) value using a subset of the set of limb leads;
in response to the left leg electrode of the set of electrodes contacting the user's chest:
generate a precordial lead based on electric potentials sensed by the left leg electrode while contacting the user's chest and the WCT value; and
as the precordial lead is generated, simultaneously generate a corresponding second lead I; and
time align the set of limb leads and the precordial lead using the second lead I to generate a time-aligned ECG.
