1. A heart beat detection device, comprising:
a strap configured to be fastened to a wrist of a person, the strap comprising a conductivity sensor configured to measure a conductivity of a skin of the person, wherein the conductivity sensor is configured to periodically invert a polarity to reduce one or more of polarization and electrolysis; and
at least one optical sensor unit configured to be placed near the skin of the person, the at least one optical sensor unit including a light emitter configured to emit light onto the skin, and a light receiver configured to receive light reflected by the skin and to convert the light reflected by the skin into an electric signal.
