1. A method, comprising:
receiving first emplacement data corresponding to a medical device;
determining an emplacement of a virtual medical device with respect to a point-of-view location based at least in part on the first emplacement data, wherein the virtual medical device corresponds to the medical device;
receiving operating parameters corresponding to the medical device;
determining a first predicted affected region based at least in part on the operating parameters and a predicted advancement of the medical device along a forward trajectory, wherein the operating parameters comprise a variance parameter that corresponds to a margin of error associated with said determining the first predicted affected region;
determining a second predicted affected region based at least in part on the variance parameter; and
causing one or more displays to display:
a perspective view of at least a portion of the virtual medical device,
a perspective view of the first predicted affected region, and
a perspective view of the second predicted affected region.
