1. A shoe for ball sports, the shoe comprising:
an upper comprising an outer surface;
a sensor for sensing movements of the shoe,
a shape memory alloy arranged to direct an outward force toward a portion of the outer surface of the upper; and
a processing unit for controlling the shape memory alloy to change at least one surface property of the portion of the outer surface based on sensor data from the sensor.
