1. An induction heating apparatus, comprising:
a working coil configured to heat an object;
an inverter circuit that includes a plurality of switching elements, and configured to supply current to the working coil, wherein each of the switching elements is associated with a different corresponding one of a plurality of switching signals; and
a controller configured to:
compare a set power value of the working coil with a predetermined reference power value,
change an operation mode of the inverter circuit to a half bridge mode when the set power value is determined to be less than the reference power value,
change a duty ratio of a first one of the switching signals to a predetermined reference duty ratio, and
change an actual power value of the working coil to the set power value of the working coil.
