1. A light-emitting apparatus comprising:
an array of multiple LEDs; and
a metalens spaced apart from the array of LEDs, the metalens comprising at least a first array of niobium pentoxide nanoantennas arranged to affect phase and amplitude of light emitted by the LEDs so as to at least partially collimate the light,
the metalens being positioned and structurally arranged so that light emitted from LEDs at differing locations in the array is directed to corresponding differing predefined far-field regions.
