1. A system, comprising:
a radio controller at a base station;
a radio receiver at the base station and in electronic communication with the radio controller, wherein the radio receiver is configured to operate at a normal input power under a normal power condition at the base station;
a battery at the base station, wherein the radio controller is configured to route power from the battery to the radio receiver; and
an element management system located remotely from the base station and configured to communicate with a plurality of base stations,
wherein the element management system instructs the radio controller to continue operating the radio receiver with a cropped input power from the battery to the radio receiver in response to a power interrupt at the base station,
wherein the cropped input power is greater than zero and less than the normal input power,
wherein the cropped input power to the radio receiver reduces a draw from the battery by the radio receiver during continued operation.
