1. An apparatus comprising:
an amplifier configured to amplify radio-frequency signals using a supply voltage, the radio-frequency signals having at least two different waveforms each associated with a different power reduction factor;
a power converter coupled to the amplifier, the power converter responsive to a control signal to adjust the supply voltage such that the supply voltage varies depending on which of the at least two different waveforms being transmitted resulting in different average output powers as between the different waveforms.
