1. A power tool comprising:
a housing including a grip portion having a grip circumference of smaller than or equal to approximately 132 mm;
a battery receptacle formed on the housing and configured to receive a battery pack having a nominal voltage of approximately 18 volts and an impedance of approximately 62 mOhms; and
a brushless direct-current (BLDC) motor at least partially disposed within the grip portion of the housing and configured to output a maximum power output in the range of approximately 450 to 950 watts when powered by the battery pack and a continuous power output in the range of approximately 400 to 730 watts over a discharge cycle of the battery pack, the motor comprising:
a stator including a stator core and a plurality of stator windings, wherein the stator core has an outer diameter that is smaller than or equal to approximately 34 mm; and
a rotor rotatably received within the stator and including a rotor shaft extending along a longitudinal axis and a plurality of permanent magnet rings mounted sequentially oriented along the longitudinal axis and surrounding the rotor shaft, each permanent magnet including a plurality of magnetic poles.
