1. A colour display apparatus comprising:
a plurality of micro-LEDs arranged in a micro-LED array, wherein the plurality of micro-LEDs are micro-LED die chips, wherein each micro-LED die chip has a width or diameter that is at most 150 micrometers;
a plurality of reflective optical elements arranged in a reflective optical element array;
an output substrate; and
a plurality of wavelength conversion elements arranged in a wavelength conversion array deposited on the reflective optical element array, wherein each of the plurality of wavelength conversion elements is arranged to receive light emitted by one or more micro-LEDs of the plurality of micro-LEDs, convert the received light into light of a different colour wavelength band, and output the light of a different colour wavelength band for display,
wherein each of the plurality of reflective optical elements is arranged to:
receive at least part of the light of a different colour wavelength band output by a wavelength conversion element of the plurality of wavelength conversion elements; and
reflect the received at least part of the light of a different colour wavelength band towards the output substrate for display.
