1. A method of operating a flat-panel display, the method comprising:
providing an active-matrix display comprising an array of pixels and an array of pixel controllers;
providing at least some of the pixels with respective pixel information signals from a respective more than one of the pixel controllers; and
automatically driving one or more light emitters in the at least some of the pixels to emit light based on the respective pixel information signals.
