1. A display device comprising:
a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on a substrate and spaced apart from each other;
a first insulating layer disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode;
light emitting elements disposed on the first insulating layer, each of the light emitting elements having plurality of semiconductor lavers an insulating film surrounding the plurality of semiconductor layers, a first end disposed on the first electrode and a second end disposed on the second electrode;
a first connection electrode disposed on the first electrode and electrically contacting the first end of each of the light emitting elements;
a second connection electrode disposed on the second electrode and electrically contacting the second end of each of the light emitting elements;
a second insulating layer disposed on the light emitting elements, the first connection electrode and the second connection electrode; and
a third connection electrode disposed on the second insulating layer and electrically contacting a semiconductor layer of the light emitting elements through both an opening in the insulating film spaced apart from the first end and the second end and an opening formed in the second insulating layer that partially exposes the light emitting elements.
