1. A heat pump, comprising:
a reversing valve configured to adjust a flow of refrigerant through the heat pump, wherein the reversing valve is configured to direct the refrigerant through the heat pump along a first flow path in a first configuration of the reversing valve, and the reversing valve is configured to direct the refrigerant through the heat pump along a second flow path in a second configuration of the reversing valve;
a compressor configured to pressurize the refrigerant; and
a controller configured to determine an operating parameter related to a position of the reversing valve, wherein the controller is configured to adjust operation of the compressor to increase a mass flow rate, a pressure, or both of the refrigerant discharged by the compressor in response to a determination that the operating parameter is below a threshold value, and the controller is configured to adjust operation of the compressor to reduce the mass flow rate, the pressure, or both of the refrigerant discharged by the compressor in response to a determination that the operating parameter is above the threshold value after the determination that the operating parameter is below the threshold value.
