1. A curable composition, comprising:
at least one poly(arylene ether) polymer comprising a monomer unit of one of formulas (5)-(9):

OG Complex Work Unit Chemistry
in which R1 is H, C1-C10 alkyl, or aryl; each of R2, R3, and R6, independently, is C1-C10 alkyl; each of R4, R5, R7, and R8 is H or C1-C10 alkyl; p is an integer from 0 to 4; q is an integer from 0 to 4; and r is an integer from 0 to 4;
at least one phosphorus-containing flame retardant; and
at least one radical initiator.
