1. A chain separator for separating a chain of a bicycle from a front sprocket of the bicycle, the chain separator comprising:
a body defining an outer surface, wherein the chain is disengaged from the front sprocket and positioned on the outer surface; and
at least one projection extending from the body to define a sprocket channel, wherein the chain separator is positioned on the bicycle such that the front sprocket is positioned within the sprocket channel, wherein the at least one projection comprises a plurality of projections that define the sprocket channel.
