1. A catalyzed particulate filter for soot removal from engine exhaust, said particulate filter is loaded with a silver-zirconia catalyst xAg/ZrO2, wherein x is the mole fraction of Ag in %, and wherein the silver-zirconia catalyst is prepared by citric acid-assisted sol-gel method and calcinating at 500° C. for about 10 hours.
