1. An activated carbon for adsorbing per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds in a water sample to desorbably adsorb per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds in a water sample, wherein
the BET specific surface area of an activated carbon adsorbent is 800 m2/g or more, and
a surface oxide amount of the activate carbon adsorbent is ranged from 0.10 to 0.50 meq/g, and
a sum (Vmic) of a volume of the activated carbon adsorbent having a pore size of 1 nm or less is ranged from 0.30 to 0.85 cm3/g.
