A fructophilic probiotic bacteria Bacillus coagulans MTCC 25235, isolated from honey, wherein the said bacteria is present in the form of an inoculum, freeze-dried powder, fine powder, tablet, capsule, suspension, solution, emulsion, gummy, chewable or edible foods and administered along with accepted excipients, adjuvants, bioavailability enhancers.
