1. A system for displaying an assessment of renal function in a patient in real time, the system comprising:
a controller configured to obtain a measurement data set comprising a plurality of measurement data entries from at least one sensor head positioned on the patient and to transform the measurement data set into the assessment of renal function comprising:
an acquisition unit configured to receive the plurality of measurement data entries including at least two measurements, a measurement of the plurality of measurement data entries corresponding to a signal of a plurality of signals detected at a particular region by the at least one sensor head;
a processing unit configured to apply corrections to the plurality of measurement data entries and to transform a portion of the corrected plurality of measurement data entries into the assessment of renal function, comprising:
a post-agent administration selection subunit configured to identify a post-equilibration portion of the measurement data set; and
a renal decay time constant (RDTC) calculation subunit configured to transform the corrected plurality of measurement data entries obtained over the post-equilibration portion of the measurement data set to provide the assessment of renal function of the patient;
a display unit configured to display the assessment of renal function provided by the RDTC calculation subunit.
