1. A method of producing an array of sharp metallic tips coated with a biocompatible coating comprising:
providing a first array of sharp metallic tips having a pyramidal shape;
providing a titanium sheet shaped as an array of hollow sharp tips of dimensions suitable for fitting onto said first array of sharp metallic tips, wherein said titanium sheet is thicker at a sharp end of said sharp metallic tips than at a broader section of said sharp metallic tips;
placing said titanium sheet onto said first array of sharp metallic tips such that said tips of said first array of sharp metallic tips insert into the hollow sharp tips of said titanium sheet; and
attaching said titanium sheet by pressure onto said first array of sharp metallic tips with a heat conducting layer and physically securing said titanium sheet to said first array,
thereby producing said array of sharp metallic tips having a biocompatible coating that remains biocompatible at high temperatures ranging between 300-600 degrees Celsius.
