1. A heating engine control circuit to control operation of a heater of a non-nicotine electronic vaping device, the heating engine control circuit comprising:
a charge pump configured to control a supply of power to a heating engine drive circuit based on a vaping shutdown signal; and
a controller configured to generate the vaping shutdown signal and a heater activation signal to control the supply of power to the heater from the heating engine drive circuit, wherein the charge pump is configured to be activated in response to the controller disabling the vaping shutdown signal, and the charge pump is configured to be deactivated in response to the controller enabling the vaping shutdown signal.
