1. A freshwater filtration system for a freshwater reservoir, the freshwater filtration system comprising:
a rotary drum filter arranged to receive flow of freshwater from the freshwater reservoir and having one or more outlets;
a primary bio-filter including one or more inlets configured to receive gravity flow of the freshwater from the one or more outlets of the rotary drum filter, and one or more outlets configured to supply the freshwater for delivery back to the freshwater reservoir, and configured to remove organic matter from the freshwater; and
a return pump configured to cause a pressurized return of the freshwater from the one or more outlets of the primary bio-filter back to the freshwater reservoir;
wherein the primary bio-filter includes a main compartment and a drainage compartment, the main compartment and the drainage compartment are divided by a wall, and the wall comprises a screen that maintains a filter media on one side of the wall.
