1. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment, comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a channel resource block and a synchronization signal block with partially overlapping bandwidths;
receiving, from the base station, a value of a bandwidth offset that is equal to a quantity of resource elements between an initial channel resource element of the channel resource block and an initial synchronization resource element of the synchronization signal block;
locating the synchronization signal block based on a location of the channel resource block and the bandwidth offset; and
obtaining data carried by the synchronization signal block.
