1. A method for managing a network of nodes that represent a supply chain, the method comprising:
storing a network with a plurality of connected nodes, wherein,
the connected nodes represent suppliers and customers,
paths among the connected nodes represent supply chains for one or more products, and
the paths among the connected nodes are dynamic based on interactions among the suppliers and customers;
receiving, from an authenticated user of a first node of the network, a request to retrieve data about a second node of the network;
generating a relational data query to retrieve the requested data from data tables of a secure database that stores the network, wherein the first node is connected by a plurality of paths with a subset of the connected nodes, each of the plurality of paths connects a plurality of the subset of connected nodes to the first node, and the authenticated user of the first node comprises access permissions to access data about the subset of the connected nodes; and
providing, when the access permissions for the authenticated user of the first node permit access to data about the second node, data about the second node retrieved via the relational data query to the authenticated user of the first node, wherein
the authenticated user of the first node is permitted access to data about the second node when the second node is among the subset of the connected nodes that are connected to the first node by the plurality of paths,
the authenticated user of the first node is not permitted access to data about the second node when the second node is not among the subset of the connected nodes that are connected to the first node by the plurality of paths, and
the provided data about the second node comprises supply chain information about a first product, and at least one path of the plurality of paths that connects the first node and the second node represents a first supply chain for the first product.
