1. A motor drive for connection to a distributed DC bus system, the motor drive comprising:
an input configured to connect to a DC bus, wherein a DC bus voltage and a DC control voltage are selectively received from the DC bus at the input;
an inverter section electrically connected to the input to receive the DC bus voltage and to provide an AC voltage;
a power supply electrically connected to the input, wherein the power supply is operative to output a motor drive control voltage selectively from the DC bus voltage and the DC control voltage according to which is present on the DC bus; and
a control circuit configured to receive the motor drive control voltage to enable operation of the control circuit.
