1. A method for dynamically generating a conductive path for generating or interacting with an electromagnetic field comprising the steps of
providing a spatial array with a plurality of conductive segments connected together to form a conductive path; operating at least one switching device on at least some of the conductive segments to either allow or block electrical conduction between at least two of the plurality of conductive segments in the spatial array to make a connected sequence of the conductive segments in the conductive path; operating a control device on the switching device to select which of the conductive segments are conductively linked;
and measuring at the spatial array using at least one sensor one or more of a light amplitude, a magnetic field amplitude, an electric field amplitude and a temperature; wherein a power is applied to said conductive path to produce an electromagnetic field where the electromagnetic field depends at least in part on the spatial arrangement of the connected sequence of the conductive segments in the conductive path; and wherein an output of said at least one sensor is arranged to provide an input to the control device to modify said electromagnetic field.
