1. A medical device comprising:
stimulation generation circuitry configured to deliver electrical stimulation to a patient, wherein the electrical stimulation comprises a plurality of control pulses and a plurality of informed pulses, the plurality of control pulses at least partially interleaved with the plurality of informed pulses;
sensing circuitry configured to detect a plurality of evoked compound action potentials (ECAPs) elicited by respective pulses of the plurality of control pulses instead of any ECAPs elicited by any informed pulses of the plurality of informed pulses; and
processing circuitry configured to:
determine that a first value of a characteristic of a first ECAP of the plurality of ECAPs is greater than a threshold ECAP characteristic value, the first ECAP elicited by a first control pulse of the plurality of control pulses;
responsive to determining that the first value of the characteristic of the first ECAP is greater than the threshold ECAP characteristic value, decrease, from a predetermined value, a parameter that at least partially defines a first set of informed pulses of the plurality of informed pulses;
control the stimulation generation circuitry to deliver the first set of the informed pulses defined by the decreased parameter after the first ECAP;
determine that a second value of the characteristic of a second ECAP elicited by a second control pulse delivered after the first ECAP is less than the threshold ECAP characteristic value;
responsive to determining that the second value of the characteristic of the second ECAP is less than the threshold ECAP characteristic value, increase, up to the predetermined value, the parameter that at least partially defines a second set of informed pulses of the plurality of informed pulses; and
control the stimulation generation circuitry to deliver the second set of informed pulses defined by the increased parameter after the second ECAP.
