1. An occlusive device for treating an intracranial aneurysm, wherein a neck of the aneurysm opens to a blood vessel, the device comprising:
a mesh having a low-profile state for intravascular delivery to the aneurysm and a deployed state in which the mesh is configured to be positioned within the aneurysm, the mesh having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, wherein the mesh is formed of a tubular braid that has been flattened along its longitudinal axis such that opposing portions of a sidewall of the braid are pressed towards one another, and wherein the braid is formed of a plurality of filaments, each of the filaments comprising a first material;
a coil having a proximal end portion and a closed distal end portion, the coil comprising a second material;
a flexible lead-in member having a closed proximal end portion and a distal end portion, the lead-in member comprising a third material;
a first joint comprising a first fused region between the proximal end portion of the mesh and the closed distal end portion of the coil, wherein the proximal end portion of the mesh overlaps the closed distal end portion of the coil to define a first overlapping region and the first material is fused to the second material in the first overlapping region; and
a second joint comprising a second fused region between the distal end portion of the mesh and the closed proximal end portion of the lead-in member, wherein the distal end portion of the mesh overlaps the closed proximal end portion of the lead-in member to define a second overlapping region and the first material is fused to the third material in the second overlapping region.
