1. A lighting apparatus charging system, comprising:
a charging holster comprising:
a clip;
a first power source;
a housing coupled to the clip; the housing comprising:
a power compartment configured to house the first power source; and
a charging cradle configured to removably and securely couple to
a flashlight;
a first set of indicator lights;
a first processor; and
a first non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising first instructions that when executed by the first processor, cause the charging holster to:
measure a first instantaneous voltage of the first power source;
calculate a first characteristic value over a first rolling window based on the first instantaneous voltage;
determine a first usage estimate of the first power source; and
display the first usage estimate on the first set of indicator lights; and
the flashlight comprises:
a second power source;
a second set of indicator lights;
a second processor; and
a second non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising second instructions that when executed by the second processor, cause the flashlight to:
measure a second instantaneous voltage of the second power source;
calculate a second characteristic value over a second rolling window based on the second instantaneous voltage;
determine a second usage estimate of the second power source; and
display the second usage estimate on the second set of indicator lights.
