1. An apparatus for securing a cable, the apparatus comprising:
a housing comprising an interior surface and an exterior surface, wherein the interior surface is frustoconically shaped;
a frustoconical liner shaped to fit within at least a portion of the housing such that an exterior surface of the frustoconical liner contacts the interior surface of the housing;
an intermediate insert shaped to fit within the frustoconical liner and trap an outer portion of the cable between the intermediate insert and the frustoconical liner;
an inner insert positioned at least partially within the intermediate insert, the inner insert shaped to trap a second portion of the cable between the inner insert and the intermediate insert; and
an end cap that couples to the housing, the end cap configured to apply a force to the intermediate insert sufficient to cause the frustoconical liner to plastically deform without causing deformation of the housing.
