1. A composite battery enclosure comprising:
a. a molded composite cover comprising
i. an interior surface and an outer surface,
ii. a honeycomb core sandwiched between a first cover skin and a second cover skin, a reinforcement section having a thickness greater than the first cover skin and the second cover skin, the reinforcement section comprising a buildup area of resin;
b. a formed cross member comprising
i. a top, the top comprising a top surface, the top surface secured to the reinforcement section of the molded composite cover;
ii. a base; and
iii. a body, the body positioned between the top and the base.
