1. A method comprising:
scanning, by an imaging device associated with a customer computing device of a customer, a Quick Response (QR) code displayed on a display associated with a merchant computing device of a merchant;
decoding, by an application executing on the customer computing device, data embedded in the QR code to generate decoded data;
identifying, by the customer computing device and based at least in part on the decoded data, a uniform resource locator (URL) associated with a web page of the merchant, wherein the URL includes a payment proxy associated with the merchant;
causing presentation of, on a display associated with the customer computing device, the web page;
transmitting, by the customer computing device, an indication of an interaction with an interactable element of the web page, wherein the interaction comprises an intent to purchase one or more items offered for sale via the web page; and
receiving, by the customer computing device, an indication of completion of a payment for a purchase of the one or more items, wherein the payment is facilitated at least in part by parsing of the payment proxy by one or more servers of a payment processing system.
