1. An electronic device comprising:
memory configured to store a client application, first data for verifying the client application and an edge enabler client (EEC);
a communication circuit configured to connect to each of an edge configuration server (ECS) an edge enabler server (EES), and an edge application server (EAS), which are located outside the electronic device, through a base station; and
at least one processor communicatively coupled to the memory and the communication circuit,
wherein the client application is configured to perform one or more functions in the electronic device, the one or more functions provided by a server application executable in the EAS, and
wherein the at least one processor is configured to cause the EEC to:
execute the client application for performing an edge computing service using the server application on the EAS,
in response to executing the client application, verify the client application using the EEC based at least on the first data,
when the client application is verified, by the EEC, as a valid application for performing the edge computing service, access the EAS and perform the edge computing service, and
when the client application is verified, by the EEC, as an invalid application for performing the edge computing service, refrain from accessing the EAS and performing the edge computing service.
