1. A method for testing custom application software, the method comprising:
receiving a request to execute a test action, wherein the test action comprises a modification to an existing action of an application;
identifying metadata corresponding to the existing action of the application;
creating, from the metadata corresponding to the existing action, test metadata that reflects the modification to the existing action, wherein the test metadata describes each object in the application that is expected to be affected by the modification;
building a test framework, at least in part from the test metadata; and
executing the test action in the test framework, wherein executing the test action comprises executing, utilizing the test metadata, one or more steps that make up the test action.
