1. A cable reel and adapter assembly comprising:
a base portion;
a cable reel configured to be coupled to the base portion;
an adapter portion configured to be coupled to the base portion;
wherein the cable reel includes a mount portion that receives a header portion that is configured to extend from an outer surface of the cable reel, be coupled to a plurality of breakout cables each having a connector, and rotate with the cable reel relative to the base portion during operation of the assembly;
wherein the cable reel is configured to rotate relative to the adapter portion when the adapter portion is coupled to the base portion such that the adapter portion does not rotate with the cable reel during operation of the assembly;
wherein the adapter portion is configured to optically couple a connectorized end of each of the breakout cables with a connectorized end of one of a plurality of fiber optic drop cables that are configured to extend to a remote end user location;
wherein the header portion includes a plurality of finger portions each having a pair of fingers, wherein each pair of fingers is configured to receive and directly contact a portion of one of the connectors; and
wherein each finger portion is configured to receive and hold one of the breakout cables such that the breakout cables are configured to rotate with the cable reel relative to the base during operation of the assembly.
