1. An optical film, comprising:
a reflective polarizer portion; and
an infrared reflector portion disposed on the reflective polarizer portion;
wherein the reflective polarizer portion includes a plurality of alternating first polymer layers and second polymer layers;
wherein for at least one in-plane direction, the difference in refractive index between each of the first polymer layers and the second polymer layers of the reflective polarizer portion is at least 0.04;
wherein for a second in-plane direction orthogonal to the at least one in-plane direction, the difference in refractive index between each of the first polymer layers and the second polymer layers of the reflective polarizer portion is less than 0.04;
wherein the infrared reflector portion includes a plurality of alternating third polymer layers and fourth polymer layers;
wherein the infrared reflector portion exhibits less polarization-sensitive reflection compared to the reflective polarizer portion and transmits less than 50% of normally incident unpolarized light averaged over 900-1200 nm;
wherein there is no adhesive between the reflective polarizer portion and the infrared reflector portion.
