1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
accessing one or more door usage events in a database of stored door usage events, wherein the database is populated with observed door opening or door closing events within vehicles that are part of a dynamic transportation network, wherein the transportation network includes at least one transportation provider;
generating a dynamically updateable location score for at least one of a pickup location or a drop-off location for a transportation task associated with a transportation requestor, wherein the location score is dynamically updated according to a current temporal state;
generating a recommendation based on the dynamically updateable location score and the accessed door usage events, the recommendation indicating an optimal pickup location or drop-off location for the current temporal state;
presenting the generated recommendation to the transportation requestor; and
upon determining that a threshold number of door usage events have been received for the recommended pickup or drop-off location, instructing the transportation provider to perform a specified action that is based on the recommendation.
