1. A tamper resistant nightlight, comprising:
a body configured to be positioned on a face of an electrical outlet without obstructing access to a first electrical receptacle of the electrical outlet, wherein an electrical wall plate surrounds the electrical outlet;
at least two plug blades extending from a rear side of the body and configured to electrically couple with contacts within a second electrical receptacle of the electrical outlet different from the first electrical receptacle; and
a locking element coupled to the body and configured to restrict the tamper resistant nightlight from being removed from the electrical outlet unless the electrical wall plate is removed from the electrical outlet.
