1. A method to store a doorstop when not in use, the method comprising:
mounting on to a vertical surface, a bracket comprising a body and protrusions extending from opposite sides of the bracket body;
positioning the doorstop adjacent to and aligned with the bracket, wherein the doorstop comprises:
a foot;
a recess area within the foot;
an opening in a bottom surface of the foot around the recess area; and
pockets in opposite sides of the recess area extending to the bottom surface of the foot; and wherein
opening to a recess area and pockets in opposite sides of the recess area over the bracket such that the doorstop pockets align with the bracket protrusions; and
pushing the doorstop onto the bracket so that the bracket protrusions slide into the doorstop pockets;
wherein the doorstop is mated with the bracket when fronts of the bracket protrusions meet ends of the doorstop pockets, forming a gap between a bottom of the doorstop and a back edge of the bracket.
